Investment Advisor Assistant - Victoria office

The Ocean Wealth Group of PI Financial Corp is seeking a licensed Investment Advisor (IA) Assistant in Victoria. You are passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals and will use your experience and education in the financial services industry to support the administration and marketing needs of the Investment Advisor in a busy, dynamic office. You have excellent organizational skills and are self-motivated with a hard work ethic.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IA’s on the team in preparing for client appointments
  • Respond to client inquiries
  • Provide market information or quotes to clients
  • Communicate effectively with the advisor
  • Ensure client accounts are processed accurately including account opening/closing and transfers to ensure proper settlement and delivery
  • Ensure compliance is followed
  • Process trades and other transactions
  • Plan and coordinate client events
  • Maintain customer records and compile reports

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 years administrative/assistant experience in the investment industry
  • Post secondary education in finance or a related field is an asset
  • IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative or Registered Representative
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH)
  • CFP (Certified Financial Planner designation) and LLQP (Insurance license) is an asset

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Base salary: $58,000 - $ 65,000. Full-time position.
  • Salary is commensurate on experience and education.
  • Full benefit plan: with 3 weeks vacation annually to start.
  • Further education paid for ie. CFP and CSI courses for eg.
